Manage your ad groups through the Publisher API

The Proximic Publisher API v1 now offers a new Web Service: the Ad Group Service.

Just like you were able to manage ad groups through the Proximic Publisher Program, you can also create, edit, delete and retrieve your list of ad groups through the Ad Group Service of the Publisher API.

By assigning ad groups to your ad units, you can track a variety of performance metrics across your websites. Using ad groups will help you understand how your site traffic flows and what’s really generating revenue for you. For instance, ad groups can be used for the following criteria:

  • Content Ad Groups: verticalize the content of your web pages and compare the performance of your content categories.
  • Position Ad Groups: flag the position of your ad units on your website and track which position is performing the best (see FAQ: “Where should I place an ad unit on my pages?“).
  • Color Schema Ad Groups: what color themes blend perfectly into your website for the most CTR value (see FAQ: “What color palettes are the most successful?“).
  • Language Ad Groups: for international sites, track what users are making you earn money.

The Reporting Service can be used to view these metrics: simply make a request for a “Performance report by group”.

As with the other Proximic API Services, the Ad Group Service is REST compliant, and will leverage your Publisher API access already granted through the other API services.

Register for a free Publisher API account here, and set up your programming interface with the new ad group service.
